Undebtify

Terms of use

The plain-English terms for using Undebtify. By using the app, you agree to them.

Last updated 29 September 2026

The app

Undebtify is made by an independent developer in the UK ("I" and "me" in these terms). You get it through Apple's App Store, so Apple's standard licence agreement applies as well as these terms. If the two disagree, Apple's agreement wins.

It's a tracker, not advice

Undebtify helps you record and organise your debts. It doesn't give financial, legal or debt advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation about what you should do. Features like snowball and avalanche ordering are sorting tools, not advice. For free, independent advice, see where to get help.

Your numbers are yours to check

Everything in the app comes from what you enter. Totals, due dates and interest are only as accurate as those entries, and the app can't know about charges or changes your lender makes. Always check your lender's statements for the real figures, and don't rely on the app alone to avoid missing a payment.

Your data

What you enter is stored on your iPhone, not by me. You're responsible for keeping backups. If you delete the app or lose your phone without a backup, I can't get your data back. The privacy policy explains this in full.

Subscriptions

Undebtify may offer an optional subscription to support its development. If it does, and you choose to subscribe:

  • Payment is taken by Apple from your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel it at any time in your iPhone's Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Prices are shown in the app before you buy. If a price changes, Apple will tell you before it applies to you.

Fair use

Please don't copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, or use it for anything unlawful.

Changes and availability

I may update the app, change features, or stop offering it. I'll try to give notice of any big change. If these terms change, I'll update this page and the date at the top.

Liability

I work hard to make Undebtify reliable, but it's provided as it is. As far as the law allows, I'm not responsible for losses that come from relying on the app's figures, such as missed payments, charges or interest. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, or any liability that can't be limited by law.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
